About Grace Porter

As a Development Intern at Maidu Summit Consortium, I support the fundraising and outreach efforts of a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the cultural and environmental heritage of the Maidu people. I collaborate with the staff and board members to create and implement donor engagement strategies, grant proposals, and marketing campaigns.I am also a Board Scholar at Eugene Public Library Foundation, where I contribute to the governance and advocacy of a nonprofit foundation that supports the public library system in Eugene, Oregon. Additionally, I am a student at the University of Oregon, pursuing a Master's degree in Nonprofit Management, with a focus on public relations and indigenous studies. I have over 5 years of experience as an Assistant Steward at the University of Oregon, where I helped to organize events and provide media for promotional material, working closely with the Native American Student Union. My goal is to use my skills and knowledge to advance the missions and visions of nonprofit organizations that serve diverse and underrepresented communities.
