About Grace R.

Born and raised in Portland Oregon and lucky to call the Pacific Northwest home. I worked at NW Natural for 25 years in various positions during my tenure. For the past 10 years, prior to leaving in October of 2018, I was a Business Analyst (BA). As a BA I was responsible for fielding computer enhancements requests from the users, gathering requirements and prioritize the work for the Information Technology team. I have a superpower to quickly learn new software programs, in which I was part of a team that tested and implemented various new software at NW Natural as well creating training manuals. Since leaving NW Natural I have taken over the property management of my 8 rental units. This work includes responding to tenant issues, hiring the appropriate company to fix issues that arise, forecasting projected cash flow for larger capital investments and overseeing all projects. Most recently, I work at SMILE that Sellwood Moreland Improvement League, SMILE, which has two facilities that are managed by the organization; the SMILE Station and Oaks Pioneer Church. At SMILE, many hats are worn in a very small organization with just 2 staff. Some of the highlights, besides the routine work of client correspondence, booking events and facilities management, are: creating a budget, financial forecasting, space utilization vs capacity, employee handbook, contract reviews, capital investment 5 year planning and writing a strategic plan. Organization, attention to detail, seeing the larger picture, friendly, curious and multi-tasking skill are amongst my strengths.
