About Grace Ray

Growing up in Maryland as a middle child, I always wanted to set myself apart. Moving from rural Maryland to bustling Brooklyn, NY to pursue makeup artistry was definitely a move that set me apart from my peers and gave me many lessons, both personally and professionally. Some of which include: 1) Hard work is irreplaceable. Be willing to do the hard work and get your hands dirty. 2) Networking is vital! Connections are everywhere and its important to nurture and value them. 3) Always keep flats in your purse. In addition to those life lessons, moving from retail to freelance- I utilized my corporate job as a side gig. Until I realized how much I loved it! Making the decision to obtain my Bachelor's was an easy one, as I worked my job and my degree in tandem. Continuing to develop professionally, I became more intrigued by the corporate world and how each person had an impact on the overall success of a business. As I grew and created connections with peers and mentors, I made the decision to return to school and receive my MBA. Having worked everywhere from malls to kitchens, fashion show stages to film sets, and in multiple offices, I have developed an expansive skill set including people management, data analytics, equipment management, customer service, time management, how to create the perfect cat-eye, and so much more! As I continue to develop my skillset and knowledge, I am looking forward to additional opportunities to set myself apart and work hard to create meaningful connections in my journey to a fulfilling career. I now reside in Philadelphia, PA.
