About Grace Sherman

Currently, I am pursuing a Masters of Professional Studies in Sports Industry Management at Georgetown University while completing my fifth year of collegiate soccer eligibility. Relevant coursework includes sports ethics, sports marketing, sports leadership, global sporting events, and sports communications. Prior to attending Georgetown, I earned a Bachelor of Arts from the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs and received minors in Gender Studies and French at Princeton University. At Princeton, both my junior paper and senior thesis had a sports and development focus - with my junior paper investigating the importance of NGO sport programs in overcoming a post-apartheid South Africa, and my senior thesis spotlighting the ways that the 2022 FIFA World Cup improved the human rights record in Qatar. My interest in sports has been shaped by my own experience competing on the varsity soccer teams at Georgetown and Princeton University. While at Princeton, I contributed to a second-round NCAA tournament appearance and also served as captain my senior year. At Georgetown, I played a pivotal role in securing the Big East Regular Season and Tournament victories. I am enthusiastic about leveraging my interests, skills, and athletic background to pursue a professional career in the sports industry.
