About Grace Thomas

Hello, I'm Grace Thomas, a seasoned Migration Engineer with over 5 years of experience in Datacenter Consolidation and Migrations at Infosys. With a strong academic foundation in Mathematics from MG University Kottayam, I developed a keen analytical mindset through my studies. My graduation project on Markov analysis, a probabilistic technique used to model and predict the behavior of systems or processes that transition between different states over time, has given me a deep understanding of complex systems and their behavior. This knowledge has been invaluable in my career, enabling me to approach migration projects with a structured and analytical mindset. Professionally, I've had the opportunity to work with esteemed clients like Daimler Mercedes Benz Trucks, where I've successfully executed on-premise migrations. Additionally, I've worked with Northern Trust, leading Windows Server in-place upgrades from 2016 and 2019 to 2022. My technical expertise includes hands-on experience with migration tools like VMware HCX, Double-Take Migrate, and Robocopy. I've successfully utilized these tools to drive efficient and seamless migrations. Furthermore, I've worked with various migration approaches, including OVF migrations, vSphere replication, cross-center migrations, and vMotions. I'm well-versed in vCenter unregister and register methods, which has enabled me to navigate complex migration scenarios with ease. With my expertise and experience, I've consistently delivered high-quality results, ensuring minimal downtime and maximizing efficiency. I'm passionate about leveraging technology to drive business growth and efficiency. I'm excited to explore new opportunities and contribute my skills and experience to drive success.
