About Grace Wampold

UBC Graduate with a Bachelors of Applied Animal Biology with Honours, with a focus on Animal Welfare and a minor in Sustainable food Systems During my studies, I assisted in research assessing soil composition, camera trap imaging, and biodiversity monitoring. Additionally, I have been a caretaker for animals living on farms, supporting regenerative soil management. I have 10 years experience in organic farming with a particular interest in low-input legume dominant systems and how farm-scapes impact wildlife behaviours. My ongoing work now focuses on using food justice and social justice principles to develop models of community-led knowledge and skill sharing. From clothing swaps & repair cafes, community gardens & seed libraries, to rebates & loans for climate action initiatives, my work covers a broad spectrum of individual social ventures to collective climate action.
