About Gracee Mattiace

I was born in Florida, went to college in New York City, and now I'm working as a Live Desk Anchor in Asheville, NC. I get the most out of life when I can experience different places and meet new people from all walks of life. But I also feel the most grounded when I am involved in a strong and tight-knit community. And that's why I love working in local news. You get to have both of those experiences at the same time. I love a good work-life balance so I'm always trying to expand my hobbies and make time for family and friends. But like any good journalist, my eyes and ears are always open to a good story idea. And I think getting out into your community and being involved is a great way to reveal great stories. Whether it's volunteering with my church, emceeing an event, or even going to the farmer's market on the weekend. I hope that my love for life, people, and places translates through the screen and helps our viewers start their day with a smile every morning. And that they learn, laugh, and are inspired just as much as our team is each morning too.
