About Gracia Paramitha

Dr. Gracia is an academic who has been teaching international relations studies and climate change politics at various universities since 2013. She is the Founder and Chairwoman of Paramitha Sustainability Initiative (PASTI), a foundation/NGO which engages economic development, social impact solution, and environmental achievements through Small Medium Entreprises’ Goes Global programme, Women for Sustainability programme, and Inclusive Communication and Empowerment. At PASTI, we invest an inclusive sustainability, create more opportunities for women, people with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups through sustainability practices. She is currently also a postgraduate lecturer at the University of Indonesia. Her global academic network has engaged with Netherlands’ scholars (Delft and Leiden); G20; BRICS Scholar Network, UK and ASEAN. Her research interests : sustainability, climate change policies, environmental politics, SDGs, gender inclusion for energy and climate, and decarbonization economy. She has got 7 years in sustainability practices and has been learning/exploring environmental issues for over 2 decades. Dr. Gracia focused on bilateral climate change governance in Indonesia during her PhD in Politics at the University of York, United Kingdom. She had been a Global Youth Advisor to the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP)’s TUNZA Programme in 2011-2013 and a presenter for UNEP Documentary film on Invasive Allien Species (IAS) in East Java, September 2013. She was born in Surabaya and still contributes or advises children and youth environmental activities.
