About Graeme Cooper

A modern leader, coach, technologist, and change agent. I’ve been in and around software development and delivery for well over 20 years with more than 10 of those spent in executive, senior management, and coaching roles. I have a strong “hands-on” approach to organisational and technological transformation, whether it be helping leaders understand new ways of working based on agile and lean principles, helping teams of teams break down and coordinate technology delivery across themselves, or helping individual teams adopt modern practices that reduce code bloat and technical debt. I’ve been in the business of agile transformation since 2013 and have seen the ups, the downs, and the in-betweens. Over the years I’ve come to realise that there is no “one size fits all” approach to changing the way organisations work. This has also meant I don’t subscribe to a particular methodology or practice set. Organisations are complex systems with complex politics, different contexts, and very different cultures. My background in software development and architecture of complex systems, has allowed me to work alongside some wonderful business and technology leaders and I’m passionate about sharing the lessons I’ve learnt, and continue to learn, with others. My current passions range from behaviour driven development and incorporating all stakeholders in the delivery of quality software, to enabling BAU and Change outcomes from the same teams, all the way up to aligning delivery predictability with financial governance.
