About Graeme Johannessen

It's taken me a while, but I've found my ever elusive "why". Why do I do what I do? Well - I had a call with a coaching specialist and she asked me "Where are you going with all of this?" And after a bit of reflection and looking back - the things that get me excited are providing people and organisations with the tools to succeed. I hate to see customers, clients and friends struggling unnecessarily when there is a good solution at hand. Whether that's to do with finding the right information for decisions or helping to make information accessible - I want everyone to have access to the best. After 25 years of partnership building, high level account management, sales, teaching, support, marketing, negotiations and customer success, I have learned the following about myself- I smile when the people I aim to help succeed- My favourite phrase in meetings is "that's spot on - you understood us perfectly"- I am extroverted and a team player but need time to myself to regroup- I achieve excellent sales results but am not a ruthless sales person- I prefer to arrive at solutions to problems by discussing ideas rather than working alone- I strongly prefer to get things done today rather than tomorrow- I have high standards and I expect the same of others. So, do I have all the answers. No idea. But I do have a lot of questions and I will never stop asking. A thirst for learning underpins everything I do. Whether it's learning more about a client, understanding how the issues of the day have an impact on business, I love asking questions and seeing where the answers take me. Sometimes the outcome isn't obvious, other times it is. Either way - the discovery journey is the best bit. Let's assume that we arrive at a point where it becomes clear that working together is mutually beneficial. What can you expect? You can expect attention to detail and clear, honest communication. I am both Scottish and Norwegian. I speak and write English and Norwegian to mother-tongue standard as I am bilingual. Of course, I've got interests outside work too. I golf, I fish, I read, I cook (a lot) and I take photographs. I listen to Bruce Springsteen (also a lot) and have seen him 32 times in concert. Please get in touch for a chat!
