About Graeme Lewis

I am currently employed as a Business Change Lead, which is a senior position within Sembcorp Energy UK business, located on the Wilton International site (Teesside). My current role resides in the Digital and Technology sector and incorporates the delivery of transformational projects to the business. I am responsible for initiating, developing and delivering the key and transformational improvements to the business that have a digital bias; this includes product delivery and also the changing of mindsets and approach to how people work. This has added to my experience of project management, budget setting, performance monitoring and minimising variances against budget. During my time at Sembcorp I was presented the opportunity of a career change into the Engineering discipline from a career based in Computing; this experience saw my obtain a Plant and Process Engineering HNC as well as plant operational experience. In addition numerous years (15+) of practical IT experience which is backed up by my BSc Computer Science degree has provided an excellent foundation for understanding the core aspects of business and has been of great benefit for improvement in data analysis techniques and approaches to problem solving. I have previous experience in line management of teams. I am competent at leading and managing projects / project teams and have done so successfully on numerous occasions whilst being employed by Sembcorp. I also have a qualification in the Prince 2 Project Management Framework. I have strong analytical skills and enjoy investigating a problem to determine the root cause and identify solutions that improve or at least minimise the effects of the problem. Analysis, the ability to notice trends and anomalies and recommendations for solutions, are tasks that I have to perform continuously on a daily basis and have been fundamental in all of the roles I have had to date. Report writing is another skill that I possess and I often have to compile and provide reports that can be used to highlight business performance and also monitoring reports. I set myself high standards of work and believe in applying attention to detail to ensure a correct delivery and minimise errors/reduce risk. I also believe in going that extra mile for the customer with the intention of providing an improved end results and increased customer satisfaction.
