Graeme is a Principal Environmental Scientist based in Melbourne with more than 30 years of experience focussed on contaminated land & hazardous ground gas assessment, remediation and environmental management. A Chartered Geologist and Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP – Site Contamination Specialist), Graeme is a seasoned, international consultant with first-class technical skills. An astute problem solver, he thrives when working on sensitive, complex and multi-disciplinary projects. Always focused on achieving the client’s goals, whilst protecting human health and the environment, Graeme is known for his ability to encourage stakeholder engagement and fosters positive team collaboration. Since the beginning of his career, Graeme has always displayed a keen interest in hazardous ground gas. This in turn has driven continuous improvement in the investigation, characterisation, detailed design and independent verification of hazardous ground gas protection measures using accumulated knowledge from working with practitioners, product suppliers, installers and regulators in both the UK and Australia. Graeme has conducted numerous investigations and assessments to mitigate hazardous ground gas risks and facilitate redevelopment for uses including hotels, schools, courts, transportation hubs, commercial development, low and high density residential developments, recreation and amenity uses, retail stores, university buildings and electrical substations. In recent times, many of these projects were independently reviewed and approved by Site Auditors accredited by the local environmental regulator.
