About Graham Dandy

As a driven, successful Sports Marketing and Partnership Manager for SportsAid – a leading sports charity and through my previous roles for Saracens Rugby Club and Sweetspot Group, I have developed an in-depth knowledge of both the sports industry and high-performance athlete pathway. Due to my passion and professionalism I have been recognised for my all-round commercial knowledge, particularly business development, event and partnership management. My love for sport and my own interests as a keen sportsman have always fuelled my drive and ambition to succeed in the sports industry. Responsible for significant income generation in corporate partnerships that has raised in excess of a year. Also a key part of the SportsAid project team that delivered Team England Futures in Birmingham 2022, providing the next generation of athletes with the opportunity to experience a major Games. Working closely with the charity’s Royal Patron, HRH The Princess of Wales and her team, as well as liaising with her personal protection officers, local police and civil dignitaries. Since 2013 I have successfully helped create, organise and manage several royal engagements to showcase the charity and raise awareness, including a Wheelchair Basketball Tournament, which the Prince of Wales also attended and SportsAid’s 40th Anniversary Gala Dinner at Kensington Palace. Since 2005 I have managed the charity’s annual gala dinner, The SportsBall, for up to 700 guests. Responsibilities include sourcing sponsors, selling tables, event marketing and design, liaising with the events company, creating VT’s, managing prospects, sourcing auction items, working with sporting bodies to create unique sporting showcases and liaising with key sportspeople. These have included; Sir Mo Farah, Sir Bradley Wiggins, Torvill and Dean, Sir Steve Redgrave and Victoria Pendleton. For my work within sport and for my additional charity work, I was proud to be chosen as a Torchbearer for the 2012 Olympic Torch Relay.
