About Graham Erion

I work at the intersection of clean energy, finance, and sustainability—focusing on the development, acquisition, and financing of utility-scale solar and storage projects across North and Latin America. Since 2017, I’ve been with CarbonFree Technology, where I currently serve as Chief Commercial Officer. In this role, I’ve led transactions for the acquisition, construction, and financing of over 350 MWp of solar projects in Chile, and I’m currently advancing a pipeline of solar and storage assets in Ontario and Latin America. Alongside my work at CarbonFree, I’m also Managing Director of Energy and ESG Finance at Arizona State University’s Rob and Melani Walton Sustainability Solutions Service. There, I help scale high-impact sustainability initiatives by bridging university expertise with external partners and capital. Earlier in my career, I practiced law at Torys LLP in Toronto. I then worked in litigation finance on one of the largest environmental contamination class actions in history—**Aguinda v. Chevron**, a long-running case arising from oil pollution in the Ecuadorian Amazon—and, later, at DLA Piper (Canada) LLP, where my practice focused on corporate transactions and regulatory compliance. I’m called to the bar in Ontario (2008) and New York (2012).
