About Graham Kidner

I am a financial services attorney with a broad range of management experience leading teams of lawyers and professional support staff at Freddie Mac and in private practice. I have been extensively engaged in dispute resolution, litigation, loan origination and servicing issues, compliance with consumer protection laws and regulations, risk management, and outside counsel management. At Freddie Mac I also drafted and edited complex contracts and security instruments, spearheaded policy and strategic initiatives, and counseled senior management on core business issues. More recently, in private practice, I have counseled and trained financial services providers about attaining compliance with consumer protection laws and regulations and managing risk, either by providing direct advice or through training seminars sponsored by mortgage industry associations. I have also drafted and edited numerous policy and procedure documents designed to aid legal compliance and limit litigation and reputation risk. Over just the past year or so I have spoken or appeared as a panelist in at least ten mortgage industry events, and I have had over twenty legal articles relating to mortgage law or consumer protection published in a cross-section of industry newsletters.
