I advise business owners and directors or managers with HR responsibility on the employment law and HR issues that most businesses and organisations experience. I have specialised in employment law since working with legal firms including Brodies, Harper Macleod LLP and Young & Partners LLP. I have excellent first hand experience of the pressures facing HR when I was on an 18 month secondment as the Head of HR Services at the Forestry Commission. It allowed me an insight into the practical consequences of the advice that I provide. This reality has also shaped the way I advise clients. I find practical solutions for employers requiring guidance through the entire range of employment law issues, particularly within the current climate of budgetary restraints. I really enjoy the provision of training to clients and have always received positive feedback in relation to the particular training days I have created and delivered. I enjoy building good relationships with my clients, because the better the relationship, the easier it is to advise the client.
