Teacher, Dean, ESE Specialist – Port St. Lucie High School April 2014 to December 2015 – Duties and responsibilities from April 2014 to December 2015 include managing a 25 student IEP caseload including students with consultative, support, and resource level services, teaching Access, Resource, Regular, and Honors level Earth / Space Science classes, providing support services for Mathematics, Science, and English classes, and serving as Head swim coach at Port St. Lucie High School. I have worked with students of varying exceptionalities including the nonverbal autistic unit as an Earth / Space science teacher. January 2016 to June 2016 - Duties and responsibilities include assigning discipline for students, working with resource officers and administration to investigate bullying issues, consoling student problems while performing peer mediations, serving duties during schoolwide events, and serving on problem solving committees to address school wide issues such as attendance and discipline as Dean of 9th and 10th grade students. Collaborated with teachers and administrators on classroom management and other classroom issues related to students around campus. August 2016 to Present – Duties and responsibilities include managing IEPs and planning IEP meetings, maintaining schoolwide compliance concerning local, state, and federal special education laws and programs, assisting ESE teachers in developing IEPs and interventions for ESE students in the classroom, conducting IEP meetings and collaborating with parents and students to develop IEPs, and serving on problem solving committees to develop interventions to support ESE students regarding class performance, discipline, and attendance in school. Worked directly with school counselors and administration to ensure that IEPs are being followed by teachers concerning accommodation and that student schedules reflect ESE services that were part of IEPs.
