About Graham Westmacott

Being in the Waterloo region, I’m constantly exposed to a cross-section of innovative minds and diverse perspectives across industries from manufacturing and healthcare to professional services and the tech industry. As a Portfolio Manager and Investment Advisor, my role allows me to work alongside these minds, to advise and empower them financially as they move through their careers and retirement. With the Westmacott Daley Wealth Management team at Richardson Wealth, I’m focused on the resilience of clients’ portfolios and aligning their investments with their financial goals. My career in the financial industry blends my love for mathematics and engineering with human nature and decision-making and has driven me to co-author groundbreaking, peer-reviewed research in conjunction with the University of Waterloo on maximizing income in retirement. After graduating with a joint first-class Honours degree in Mathematics and Physics, I took a role as a physicist in the Antarctic researching the ozone hole on behalf of the British Antarctic Survey. I progressed to the role of CEO at a UK-owned engineering and software company, eventually arriving in Waterloo as part of an acquisition. In 2004, I joined a major financial institution as an investment advisor, following that with a role as a portfolio manager at a boutique wealth management firm. I joined Richardson Wealth in 2022. In addition to the Honours degree in Mathematics and Physics, I have an MBA and am a CFA® charterholder.
