Human geographer with an interest in management of forests, fire, and food production systems for equitable and sustainable futures. Regional/thematic focus on community-led fire management in the Brazilian Amazon Rainforest and Celtic rainforest rewilding in the Republic of Ireland. Now in the final year of my doctoral research, I have used mixed research methods;"top-down" geospatial mapping with satellite data, and "bottom-up" ethnographic fieldwork to locate and learn from communities within the Brazilian Amazon who are successfully preventing forest fires in their territories.
