About Grant Laird

As a Land Manager at Downing Renewable Developments (DRD) I manage all things land from negotiating Heads of Terms and securing Option and Lease agreements, Land Referencing and Access, as well as striving to build relationships with our landlords and oversee the progression of our large pipeline of Solar, BESS and Onshore Wind projects across the UK. I have previously worked as a Surveyor working for Gateley Hamer in the Telecoms team, mainly in Estates, negotiating lease renewals, dealing with landlord and tenant issues, the electronic communications code on behalf of telecoms operators and infrastructure providers. I am currently undertaking my APC to become a chartered RICS member. My previous roles include being a shift manager at McDonalds and a work coach in the DWP where I have gained numerous transferable skills aiding me in my professional progression.
