About Grant Lingel

My career path has been anything but conventional. I went from a freelance travel writer (up until July 2015) to the cofounder and CEO (starting in April 2016) of Neil Patel’s first consulting agency (what is now NP Digital) in less than a year. And to the utter shock and dismay of many over the years, I have never applied for a job or had a resume. I see opportunities and I pitch myself to run after them quickly. But what I truly do best is connect with people. It might come from spending my 20s backpacking around the world and working in hostel bars for a bed and food… or it might be my degree in psychology. Or it might be a combination of these natural-born skills and experiences that come from an unorthodox lifestyle and curious outlook. My focus is connecting dots that others don’t see. Either way, I have been helping renowned brands, noble causes, and brilliant public figures break through the noise and grow fast. Beyond scaling brands and businesses, I have consulted on digital growth strategy for both a U.S. presidential candidate and a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist. Currently on the front line with a world-class team that has grown a bootstrapped startup, Undetectable AI, to 17 million users in less than two years. Silent partner of one of the most recognizable and respected celebrities in Brazil in an innovative tech project that will combat depression with physical fitness that will soon launch. Cofounder of the world’s first equity crowdfunding platform in the plant-based space, which secured CVM approval (the Brazilian SEC equivalent) before being acquired. Cofounder of Sentient Media, now the world’s leading journalism outlet covering animal rights and environmental issues, with over monthly readers. I launched a consulting project within the non-profit to consult for and train the biggest non-profit organizations in the movement including PETA, Mercy For Animals, The Humane League, and Sea Shepherd. MBA professor in Growth Strategy and Digital Marketing at ThePowerMBA (based in Madrid) and PUC-RS (a university in Porto Alegre, Brazil).
