About Grant Mills

I’ve been drawn to technology for as long as I can remember (I literally learned to read by navigating MS-DOS!). By my teens, I was scavenging old PC parts to build custom rigs, chasing both the logic and art of computing. I studied computer science with a side focus in art, originally aiming for a career in game design. While that path shifted to business and IT managment, the creative mindset stuck. Today, I apply that same mix of logic and design thinking to architect systems, streamline workflows, and guide teams through change. My approach to IT is rooted in strategy. Whether building cloud-native infrastructure, leading SaaS rollouts, or aligning systems with business goals, I see IT not as a cost center, but as a growth engine. A force multiplier. I’m passionate about developing high-performing teams, solving complex challenges, and translating technical capabilities into business value. I began my career at an MSP, serving clients in finance, retail, and manufacturing. That experience taught me how to adapt fast, collaborate across functions, and deliver solutions that work in the real world. Today, I lead the Infrastructure and Cloud Services Team at Walker Edison, a high-growth e-commerce company. I drive enterprise IT strategy across AWS and Microsoft 365 environments, with a focus on scale, security, and cross-functional alignment that enables the business to move faster and smarter.
