About Grant Simonds

I am a senior technology leader with more than 20 years of experience across AI-enabled transformation, enterprise IT, engineering leadership, product platforms, and cloud delivery. I have led technology, product, software, UX, and enterprise systems teams across telecommunications, media, travel, finance, energy, and startup environments.In my current role as General Manager IT & Enterprise Systems at Gigacomm, I lead enterprise technology, applications, service delivery, and software enablement. Recent outcomes include introducing AI-assisted software development and agentic workflows that improved cycle time, rolling out enterprise AI tooling to all staff, and leading API delivery that enabled Gigacomm's wholesale launch and supported company value creation.Earlier, I led Telstra's Smart Video platform across AI, computer vision, MLOps, IoT, and cloud delivery, including setting up Nvidia GPU-based training and inference servers. I have also led a 25-person UX and software engineering team delivering digital products to 2 million users and more than $20M revenue, and founded MComms TV, growing it to multi-million-dollar revenue with 50+ customers including Telstra, Optus, ESPN, Ericsson, and Disney.My focus is helping organisations turn strategy into working capability across AI adoption, engineering performance, enterprise technology, platforms, and operating model change. I am most relevant for roles spanning AI strategy and enablement, engineering and product leadership, and Head of IT / CTO / GM technology mandates.I combine a foundation in engineering (BEng Hons, RMIT) with certifications in Human-Centred Design, Agile Coaching, DevOps, and SAFe, plus a passion for using technology — especially AI — as a catalyst for business transformation.
