About Grant Strudwick

INTERNATIONAL RESILIENCE PROFESSIONAL 18 years of private sector security risk and resilience success in senior roles spanning the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific was launched from a foundation of fundamental leadership, analytical, management and problem solving skills developed throughout his early career as a Military Officer. In addition to consulting within large multi-national companies with matrix structures, My last 5 years have been senior functional and management positions within a complex entity. I have transitioned organisations from being reactive in the risk and crisis space to becoming resilient through proactive management and mitigation of their risks. I have had the pleasure of working within and advising companies that are so well prepared and rehearsed to deal with serious events that they generate unintentional opportunities as a result of their expert management and communication in times of crisis. I have also assisted those who chose to learn the hard way. I have engaged with the full range of line and functional matrix stakeholders, bridging different geographies and nationalities, in face to face and virtual environments, leveraging internal and external providers. My crisis management ethos has been shaped and honed across a range of events and a range of industries, however the success factors remain constant: crisis leadership, well practiced teams, planning for known risks, stakeholder management and clear communication (internal and external).
