About Grant Uuldriks

I am self-employed as a Telecom Infrastructure Specialist assisting ISP's in various capacities like project planning, design, and construction management of FTTx. With over 35 years in the industry, I began my career in the CATV field as a teenager doing everything from trunk, distribution, and power supplies down to drop repairs for Cablent/Cogeco. I excelled at this for 15 years before I was given an opportunity to learn fibre from one of the best splicers in Ontario. I rose to the challenge and before long I knew fibre as well as coax and also learned Data Networks along the way. I spliced fibre all over Ontario for such networks as Cogeco and Rogers as well as hydro utilities in Burlington, Hamilton, Guelph, Milton, Halton Hills, and Kitchen-Waterloo-Cambridge. After a few years in the field I transitioned into the office with responsibilites for planning, design, and construction of Data and HFC Networks for Burlington Hydro, Cogeco, and Rogers. In-between Cogeco and Rogers I spent a few years using my electrical skills and knowledge deploying and servicing Level 2 and 3 EV Chargers across Canada.
