Over 30 years of professional experience retiring in 2014 in criminal justice and juvenile justice, administration, budgeting, evidence based management, quality assurance and training. Possess extensive experience developing and evaluating various systems across multiple institutions, systems and agencies. A public servant to the citizens of the State of New York as a member of the NYS Division of Parole and the criminal justice community of New York since 1984. In 2006 appointed as acting director for strategic planning; and in that capacity responsible for developing agency protocol and establishing performance based systems. Constructed and developed the campaign organization for New York State Senate candidacy for the 2010 and 2012 electoral primary representing the 38th Senatorial District of Rockland County. 2012 finalist for the White House Fellow program. African American Chamber of Commerce for Westchester/Rockland Honoree along with Senator Corey Booker for political candidate of the year for 2012. Awarded the 2013 Education Excellence Award for the Northeast Region by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. Currently Deputy Mayor for the Village of Chestnut Ridge, Board member of the Rockland County Youth Bureau, former President of the CEJJES Partnership board, consultant to the District attorney's policing initiative, member Department of Health committee on public school nutrition and Trustee on The Board of Rockland Community College. 2020 chair of the NYS Police Reform and Reinvention Collaborative for Rockland County. Consultant NYS Cannabis Association of Minorities & Women Professionals 2021 member of the 9th Judicial District committee on jury selection diversity equity and inclusion. 2022 NAACP Nyack Freedom Awardee, Elected Grand Associate Worthy Patron Prince Hall Order of Eastern Stars State of New York 2022, Awarded the Martin Luther King 2023 for Distinguish Service, Member of One Hundred Black Men of New York, Member of the New York State SUNY Trustees and Presidents Government Relations Committee.
