About Grayson Frye

Having been around agriculture for my entire life, I have always had a passion for working in the field and helping others as much as I could. Throughout high school I worked three jobs high school, all of which are still active in dealing with various sectors of agriculture that range from large scale poultry production and managing a herd of beef cattle with a local farmer to learning about specialized produce and exploring different practices of growing specialty crops. I have experience operating large machinery that utilizes manual and automatic transmissions, and I am always looking to learn and expand my abilities to operate anything. I also have experience grafting and propagating hybridized species of plants that have included apple trees and heirloom tomato plants utilizing and experimenting with many varieties. I also have extensive experience in beekeeping and for a period of two years. I kept a local farmer’s beehives active and produced honey for his personal use. I have always been fascinated with conservation, beginning with my love for wildlife and preserving the outdoors for future generations and that led me to my interest in other forms of resource conservation that relate more to agriculture by exploring local programs that educated farmers on best management practices which is what really has sparked my interest. Learning is something I firmly believe in and I believe you can never learn too much, so I have always been open to trying new things and exploring new opportunities to see what I can take away.
