About Greer Blizzard

Using shareholder activism and responsible investment to drive good corporate citizenship by South African-listed companies to create a just, inclusive and resilient economy. Just Share is the only non-profit organisation in South Africa dedicated to promoting responsible investment and sustainable finance as mechanisms for the advancement of social and environmental justice. We focus on JSE-listed companies, their shareholders, and the regulators that govern them. We collaborate with activist partners in South Africa and around the world. We are proud to be part of an influential and growing global network of activists. We also work, where appropriate, with like-minded financial sector participants : corporate governance, responsible investment/ ESG integration, shareholder activism, stakeholder capitalism, post GDP, doughnut economics, just transition, climate change, ethical leadership and strategies for social and environmental responsibility. Living in the most unequal country in the world and in a region that will be hardest hit by the consequences of run away climate change, I am passionate about and interested in post-Covid recovery strategies. If there is one thing Covid has done, its exposed the huge inequalities deeply embedded in our society and how broken our current systems are. Building “forward” better needs to be at the forefront of SAs recovery strategy.
