About Greg Abbey

I have over 17 years’ experience as a supervisor in both unionized and non-unionized environments managing workforces ranging from 12 to 180. As a member of a Management Team, I have organized and directed production and shipping departments and executed process changes that improved production. I spearheaded a team that implemented an Inventory Control System to control a multimillion-dollar inventory with less than one percent variation in value. My roles in employee relations and management grievance committees have resulted in a measurable drop in Employee absenteeism and a more motivated workforce. I have experience with the maintenance and operation of various pieces of equipment, writing and creating SOP’s and the preparing shipping documentation for domestic and U.S. deliveries. I pride myself on taking a lead role in the enforcement of the OHSA and ensuring that product quality met or exceeded ISO, API or other product specific standards. I have also been the lead in-house trainer for overhead crane and forklift operators, as well as a certified member of the JHSC. I pride myself in my attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities and I enjoy the challenge of a fast-paced environment and working to tight deadlines.
