Greg Amundson Ecclesiastically Endorsed Minister | Author | Expert in Resilience Pathways and Holistic Wellness As an ordained minister dedicated to sharing God’s Word, I am passionate about integrating faith and fitness. I hold an MA in Ministry and Leadership and an MA in Biblical and Theological Studies from Western Theological Seminary. I recently defended my doctoral dissertation at Regent University, focusing on resilience pathways in law enforcement. With over 20 years of experience in teaching, I am recognized as a leading authority on self-leadership, pastoral counseling, and holistic wellness practices. My unique background combines a strong foundation in spiritual leadership with extensive practical experience in fitness and law enforcement. Key Accomplishments Fitness Pioneer: I became a founding athlete of CrossFit in 2001, personally mentored by its founder, “Coach” Greg Glassman. I also pursued advanced training in Krav Maga, becoming one of the first American law enforcement officers certified in this discipline. Krav Maga Black Belt: I completed the Lead Advanced Krav Maga FORCE Instructor Program and earned my Krav Maga Black Belt in 2018, reflecting my commitment to both physical and mental well-being. I also hold a purple belt in Brazalian Jiu Jitsu. I am a graduate of the LAPD Handgun Instructor Training School (HITS). Law Enforcement Experience: With over 23 years of service in state and federal law enforcement, I have held roles such as SWAT officer, Special Agent with the DEA, Police Chaplain, Rescue Swimmer, Senior Instructor at FLETC, and U.S. Army Military Police Captain. My diverse experience includes teaching combatives, yoga, and leadership at the United States Army Officer Candidate School. I also developed the NTOA national SWAT fitness assessment test (PFQ). Curriculum Development: As a Senior Instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC), I develop curricula focused on peak performance and adult learning theory, while coordinating Use of Force Instructor Training Programs. Published Author: I am the national bestselling author of ten books, and was published in the FBI Law Enforcement Bulletin, Calibre Press, and the Tactical Edge.
