About Greg Arkus

I am an experienced banking professional with over 20-years of experience in the financial services industry. In my current position, I manage a team covering all aspects of ING’s financial institutions business incorporating relationship management, corporate finance, capital structuring and advisory, and specialist industry lending to the insurance and investment management industries. This covers a broad range of bank, asset management, insurance, alternative asset management and financial technology companies across a wide spectrum of products. At ING, I also sit on the management committee of the UK branch, which comprises c. 800 employees. In this capacity I am a senior manager responsible for the business and will cover broad topics impacting the branch including innovation, sustainability, Brexit and other management topics. I also Head the Sustainability effort in London and Chair the Sustainability in Action Group. In my previous positions in Debt Capital Markets, I was largely involved in the fixed income division liaising directly with investment banking on specific projects involving both debt and equity financing. Directly covered financial institutions, corporates and public sector clients with a broad based knowledge of credit criteria and balance sheet management. I have had direct experience of managing a number of teams and in my last position at Credit Suisse I was also directly responsible for risk managing a portion of the bank's balance sheet. I also represented this area in a number of management committee meetings and was also directly involved in the promotion process within Credit Suisse Group having been an Evaluator in the Managing Directors' Evaluation Committee for the past 2-years.
