I am a people person and find it exhilarating to work on the "A" team. My education is mostly through on the job experience at leading companies and being open to learning from subject matter experts of all disciplines that have surrounded me for over 35 years. Amazing people! I am an outdoor enthusiast even if I just sit peacefully taking in the sights, sounds and smells. but then I just get antsy and fill my outdoor time with hiking, biking, snowshoeing, camping, off roading, fishing, boating, canoeing and paddle boarding. I love dogs, dark beer and cooking. In my free time I built a log home. I have extensive knowledge of full masonry Rumford fireplaces, artesian wells, plumbing, electric, carpentry, log scribing, hydronic heat and just about anything to do with building a home. I have my own maker space that even includes a sewing machine. I conduct all my own repairs on vehicles with wheels, engines or hulls. At work, I try to see past the obvious solution, sometimes breaking the rules but also never losing sight of a practical solution that is value added, has future opportunities and financially compelling. I am a skilled fabricator and illustrator and will often draw or sometimes build a model to convey the highlights of a concept that may be difficult to explain without a visual aid in order to avoid missing a great opportunity only because it was not properly understood. A picture is worth a million words. Years ago I started off drawing everything with graphite on velum and mylar. I love to draw! Then came CAD. FarbCAD, Pro-E and now Solidworks. I have extensive knowledge in the selection of materials, coatings, environmental testing, Mil spec design/testing, electronic and microelectronic packaging. I am knowledgeable in a variety of fabrication technologies such as machining, molding, sheet metal, extruding, plating, powder coating, 3d printing, riveting, welding, dip brazing, etc. to name a few. I have one patent and one publication.
