About Greg Chitwood
I have been working in the nuclear generation field for the last 39 years. Spent six years as a Mechanic on a nuclear submarine. The remainder of the time was spent in operations and training at a commercial nuclear power plant. Worked as a Licensed Senior Reactor Operator during the startup of the two Units at the South Texas Project Nuclear Operating Company and since 1991 have been a Senior Reactor Operator simulator and classroom instructor in Operations Training at the same. The last year was spent in Operations Training overseas in the United Arab Emirates. Currently semi retired and available for contract work at a commercial nuclear power plant. My Interests I have found that while I have always been interested in the technical aspects of how a nuclear power plant works and actually operating the plant I really get a greater satisfaction in helping others improve their performance. I have really enjoyed my job as a simulator instructor and a classroom instructor for that reason over the years.
