Hi there. I would describe myself as a hard worker, with a passion for delivering against challenging goals. I’m passionate about making my team as effective as it can be, and am always eager to improve myself as well as encourage development in others. I have been described as approachable, highly effective, focused, flexible to change and a keen learner. I enjoy travelling as this allows me to meet new people, gain new experiences and discover new cuisines and architecture. This allows me to connect with people from all cultures and backgrounds. My passions include music, as well as video games, Lego and board games as these allow me to develop my lateral thinking and problem solving skills. I have worked in retail for the last 11 years and have been a department manager for 7. I was vital to the success of the Reading Go Outdoors store opening and have a great relationship with the current team of 32 people. I have experience in the Store Manager role, having covered for the previous manager’s holiday and sickness as well as running the store from February to mid August in 2020 whilst we awaited a new store manager amidst the Pandemic. I was appointed the integration expert within the store for the JD transition. I have experience with many systems and the ability to learn new ones quickly as well as provide training on these new platforms. I have recently passed my level 6 diploma in Digital Marketing and I love learning new things and I am very interested in the divide and ever changing ways in which people shop. This interest has made me start a business in this area and I am always keen to find new ways to gain more experience too.
