About Greg Davis

I'm making the move to Vancouver, BC and am excited for the new direction it will take me in. I'm interested in new career opportunities either locally in Vancouver, or with some travel outside of the region. Please reach out to me with those opportunities of how I can bring my experience to impact your organization! These past 13 years, I have been working as a product development and process engineer at Illumina, working on cross functional teams to bring cutting edge DNA sequencers to market. Most recently I've been responsible for the launch of consumables on the MiSeq i100. My focus has been leading operational teams to execute release, and resolve technical and schedule related problems that arise along the way. And working closely with an entire cross functional project team including development, research, marketing, software, supply chain, quality and integration. I have an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from UC Berkeley, with undergraduate degrees in Chemical and Materials Science Engineering. I have a variety of experience ranging from biotech protein purification to materials and surface science on the nano-scale. I enjoy bringing value into product realization and can flex from providing guidance on design for manufacturability during early research and technology development all the way down to resolving on market issues and tackling problems large and small. In the past few years, I have also developed more coaching skills and conflict management to help resolve disagreements and tensions between team, with the goal of fostering better team dynamics and moving past roadblocks into progress.
