About Greg Flores

Everything you learn influences the way you engage with your work and some of the most powerful things that I've learned are: Strong UX is the foundation needed to create an amazing anything. It’s a victory when you play a chess champion for an hour and no pieces are taken. It doesn’t matter that you get completely destroyed the second hour. My most valued skill throughout my entire career is adaptability. Location. Location. Location. I sold 36 cans of soda a day to my middle school classmates just on the strength of location. It’s equally challenging to design a 60 ft by 120 ft event back drop as it is to design a 100 px by 20 px mobile ad. Sometimes that noise on Air Force one is not a mechanical malfunction, it's Malia and Sasha Obama jumping up and down on the beds in the presidential suite. It is nerve racking to spray paint stenciled graphics in front of police officers at the financial district park. It is surprisingly soothing to design apps in Korean for Manchester United while listening to Brazilian House. A jack of all trades is incredibly valuable, as long as you're also a master of one. Spin music for the people who come to see your set, not the people that request a song in the middle of it. I love pink and, sometimes, I passionately love things that people viscerally hate.
