About Greg Gerber

I’m an academic leader committed to advancing student success, empowering faculty, and building collaborative, innovative learning environments. My career is defined by strategic vision, operational excellence, and the thoughtful integration of technology and pedagogy to deliver transformative learning.I serve as Associate Campus Dean, Academic at New York Institute of Technology – Vancouver, where I oversee academic programming, accreditation, and faculty development for a diverse graduate student community. I partner closely with the Executive Director and New York-based leadership on strategy, work toward new program development, and coordinate program reviews to align learning outcomes with industry and community needs.I also serve as Director of the Vancouver Centre for Faculty Excellence, building comprehensive faculty development programs, curating professional growth pathways, orchestrate new and continuing faculty orientations, and championing ongoing pedagogical innovation. I’ve helped launch new graduate programs and continue to do so.Beyond my institution, I serve as President of the Society of Independent Degree Granting Institutions of BC, collaborating with private universities and the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills on quality assurance and sector-wide initiatives. My doctoral research at Simon Fraser University on faculty perceptions of teaching and research informs my approach to governance, curriculum, and faculty support. With recognized expertise in educational technology and digital safety, I’ve developed training and resources adopted by law enforcement and the BC Ministry of Education.At the core, I’m driven by the belief that education transforms lives and strengthens communities.
