About Greg Hamilton

I have worked in a number of positions on a Service Desk for approximately twelve years. This included helping to set up the Service Desk at HUB International TOS Insurance Services as well as over 18 years at Vancouver Community College. I am currently starting a project to revamp and reorganize our Information Technology Service Management tools and practices. I am working with a number of vendors to test and trial various products to see what works best in our environment while keeping cost in perspective. My goal is to make our current technology usable and practical for our clients. Specialties: I have a number of Certifications including A+ from CompTia, HelpDesk Analyst from HDI, and Customer Service Support from HDI. I am able to support Linux, Novell and Microsoft platforms, including Groupwise, MS Office 2007/2010/2013, MS Outlook Windows7 and Windows8. I am competent with multiple browsers including, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, and Opera. I am well versed with multiple mobile platforms including Android, iOS, Windows, and Symbian. And I really like a good single malt!
