About Greg Klass
My research focusses on contract law, the law of deception (deceit, promissory fraud, False Claims Act), and business torts. Special focuses include contract interpretation and the parol evidence rule, remedies for breach, including when punitive damages are appropriate, and the overlap between contract and tort. I am co-author a leading contracts casebook, Studies in Contract Law (West) and sole author of Contract Law in the United States (Wolters-Kluwer 2011). Prior to starting at Georgetown, I did appellate work as an Assistant Solicitor General in the Office of the New York State Attorney General and I remain a member of the New York State Bar.
