About Greg Kurras

I have over 30 years in offshore surveying and the study of benthic, near-shore, and coastal environments for both commercial and academic purposes. I've moved from basic field technician, to field researcher, to manager at both the project & department level. My expertise range from field acquisition to advance data processing & interpretation to project management. Over the last ~20 years I have managed numerous projects of various size and scope directly in the field and remotely from the office with staffs ranging from 6 - 50 people. My project experience covers hydrographic charting, coastal monitoring, site investigations, seafloor classification, habitat mapping, academic research, telecommunication desktop studies, cable installations, dredging operations, and offshore construction. I have the technical skills, hands-on field experience, and advance scientific & data processing knowledge to meet nearly any project requirements. I have managed multiple survey projects, equipment development projects, survey equipment systems and diverse groups of people. My broad industry expertise, organizational skills, strong work ethic, attention to detail, background and international experiences provide a solid foundation on which to expand and grow.
