About Greg Liebman

I began my career with American Airlines in 1982 as a Reservations Agent, and over a period of 27 years advanced through a variety of positions throughout the Company. I thrived on small station management, preferring the challenges of hands-on day to day operations to overly specialized positions in larger operations. Since retiring from AA, I first worked for the U.S. Census, initially just in a temporary capacity for the 2010 decennial, but then as a permanent employee engaged in projects with the CDC and the Justice Department. That has been followed by stints in airline consulting, working first to assist Virgin Australia with their cutover to SABRE, and then to Abu Dhabi and a similar project with Etihad Airways. Most of 2013 was spent helping Silver Airways in Florida, first with their cutover to SABRE, and then in a variety of operational advisory positions, culminating with managing their hub operation in Tampa. 2015 was spent with Westat, coordinating educational assessments for NAEP-The National Assessment of Educational Progress. I then signed on with Mathematica Policy Research for a couple of years, working on CSPED, a collaboration of efforts between federal, state and local governments, the University of Wisconsin, and Mathematica, exploring initiatives designed to improve non-custodial parental compliance with child support and parenting. Mostly, though, I'm happily retired and indulging my passions for cycling, diving, snowboarding and trekking.
