I started in this business 30 years ago as a salesman on the local Buick showroom floor, basically thrown to the wolves with no training except a few video tapes to watch. Sold 7 vehicles in 12 days and was hooked soon there after. Within 2 years I was asked to start a "Fleet" department, but as you can imagine, Buicks although a great automobile, were not a high volume choice for fleets, so I learned as much as I could over the next couple of years and made the move to Ford. Ford has always been strong in fleet/commercial sales which includes taking the time to continuously train their people. Update: After the last four years at Shawnee Mission Ford, I made the move to Max Motors in Harrisonville, MO. A little further out for some but will be worth your time to give us a call or come by.
