About Greg Long

I am a teacher and trainer at heart with a passion for technology and developing people. I am just as comfortable working face-face with one person or presenting to a group of hundreds. I can teach just as effectively online as in a classroom. I always begin with one goal in mind—identifying and understanding what the learner needs and how they learn. These innate strengths are supported by my Ed.D. in education and my experience teaching and managing people from a wide variety of backgrounds. My experience includes work in the ministry, corporate world, and online distance learning. I have evaluated and developed training programs and curriculum in order to train leaders and teachers to be more effective in their roles. My doctoral work involved a qualitative research study evaluating the epistemological development of college students, giving me a unique understanding of the process of adult learning. I have published two journal articles related to education—one on the epistemological development of college students, the other on curriculum - instructional design. I am a highly collaborative and adaptable individual who values the input of others. My success has been achieved through the ability to connect with a diverse audience. I have been recognized for my excellence as an educator as well as for truly caring about the learning experience of each individual student. I am a natural leader with the ability to bring people together in order to create an environment of collaboration and success. Others look to me for input, guidance, and problem solving. I have successfully managed up to 250 volunteers, driving focus and momentum—everyone working toward the same goal. I am happiest and most productive when my work allows me to combine my passions for educating and serving others. I work to leverage my experience in technology and adult learning to add value to organizational objectives.
