About Greg Lui

Greg Lui is one of North America's most celebrated, award winning tea specialists, marketing consultants and professional speakers. He has won 218 international accalades at the Global Tea Championship in the last ten years. He received his undergraduate degree in Marketing and Communications from Simon Fraser University, and a diploma in Communication Design from the Vancouver Film School. Greg is also accredited with the title "Chartered Tea Master"​ (PRC),"Certified Tea Master"​ (ITMA), and "Certified Tea Blender"​ (ITMA). Greg is recognized as one of Canada's most influential experts in product branding; retail brand management; specialty coffee; plantation direct single origin organic tea, and international award winning tea blender. Greg was the first to position and brand premium loose tea into market segments according to its quality and was also the co-creator of the flowering tea concept over eighteen years ago. Prior to joining QTrade Teas Greg held management positions with Folgers Coffee, Starbucks Coffee, Blenz Coffee, Black Tusk Trading and Garden To Cup Organics as well as at his own consultancy company. Together, he has over twenty-one years of integrated marketing experience and has help launched some of the most recognized brands in the gourmet/natural food, premium tea and specialty coffee segments in North America. Greg has also published over 10 articles in leading business and professional trade publications, including Business-In-Vancouver, Advertising Age, The Tea Journal, Tea and Coffee Trade Journal, Marketing, Gourmet Magazine, VBOT Sounding Board and BCAMA MarketingLine. He is a regular seminar speaker at international coffee and tea conferences including Coffee Fest and the World Tea Expo.
