About Greg MacQueen

An accomplished 25+ year career in the Not-for profit sector, performing a range of financial and business activities at both corporate and operational level to support UK and international growth. As standard, I have been integral to high stake negotiations with P&L oversight for investment value ranging from £5m to £15m. During this period, I have held a variety of finance roles (Finance/Operations Director and Chief Financial & Operations Officer), working in countries Zimbabwe, S. Africa and the UK. As a key member of the strategic finance team, I have built a reputation across the organisation for handling micro details in relation to strategy development and helping the organisation to achieve on its core KPI’s, whilst also meeting on all its finance and business requirements to ensure good financial governance. At Board level, I have collaborated with a range of senior stakeholders strategising on how to develop and embed finance structures alongside their operational arrangements. With this also, I have provided the essential leadership to ensure their timely implementation across different finance operations, also achieving standardisation across financial administrative practices. At various stages of my career, I have been afforded opportunities to serve on various boards of trustees. In this capacity, I have been integral to reviewing the group’s financial performance. Additionally, I currently hold the position as Voluntary Treasurer for Celebrate UK, providing finance expertise in areas of risk management and corporate finance with exceptional organisation and diligence. In this role, I too liaise with the Charity Commission and HMRC on a range of financial and charity governance relevant matters to also include renewing policies such as mandatory GDPR compliance and consulted with independent external examiners regarding company annual financial statements.
