About Greg McCarron
I am a Glasgow based archivist, writer, film-maker and animator. I have been working as a media manager in the STV archive since 2018, specialising in Footage Sales; and I have been Chair of Shetland Film Archive for over ten years. In 2021 I graduated with distinction from Glasgow Caledonian University with an MA in Writing Fiction for Television. I have worked extensively as a freelance film-maker, and have produced my own award winning short films and animation projects. In 2022 my latest animation, Herma and Saxa, was chosen to represent Scotland in the animation category of the Celtic Media Festival Torc Awards for Excellence.
