Ice Breakers are something that so many of us dread, but one of my favorite ice breakers is to ask for a favorite quote. A quote can give great insight into a person’s style, work ethic, or even their personality. As you can tell, my favorite quote is the one above from Henry Ford and I believe that it helps to paint the picture of who I am and who I want to be. By looking at my experience below you can tell that I am not afraid of trying new things. I have moved (with great success) from industry to industry exploring the opportunities and challenges that each position brings. Each time I tried something new I found out a little more about myself and was able to push myself out of my comfort zone to grow in my career. Eventually I pushed myself enough to enter the commercial banking world and then to specialty financing. I believe that my diverse experience has helped me to gain a more holistic view of what our customers need in various industries. Henry Ford’s quote reminds me that I should always be striving for new ways and new ideas. I am not afraid to jump out of my comfort zone to push myself to become better. I will always remain motivated to grow in new ways and adapt to new challenges that cross my path and take every opportunity in stride.
