About Greg Naylor

Environmental Services Greg is the Law & Policy Lead with the Earth Law Center (ELC). The Center advocates for changes to our legal & economic systems that will recognize and protect the rights of natural ecosystems and communities to survive, thrive and evolve. Greg previously worked with NextGen Climate Action and former V.P. Al Gore's Climate Reality Project after being trained in Chicago as a climate change leader by Organizing for Action. He has been involved with the NorCal Climate Reality Leadership Group since he relocated to the Bay area after retiring early from the private practice of law. While at ELC, Greg has appeared before the EPA, the California Water Board, the San Francisco Department of Environment & the SF Board of Supervisors to advocate on behalf of the rights of nature. He is currently spearheading some of ELC's efforts to encourage municipalities to pass resolutions and ordinances that provide protections for biodiverse ecosystems. During his legal career, Greg represented businesses in the areas of labor and employment law, corporate transactions and litigation. His primary focus was that of helping his clients resolve their labor and employment issues quickly and efficiently. Greg's familiarity with a breadth of employment issues, including NLRA, FMLA, FLSA, OSHA, EEOC, OFCCP, state and federal agency discrimination claims, harassment, non-competition and intellectual property protections and his extensive experience in the enforcement of employment policies and labor contracts was beneficial for his clients.
