Greg Pride was a founding shareholder of Centric Wealth Advisers. He was also engaged as a Principal in the successful sale of Centric Wealth to Findex in 2014 and is a Partner in the new combined group.His particular area of expertise is consulting on the placement of funds associated with retirement and other significant lump sums.Career Experience Greg began financial planning consulting in 1985 after a diverse career in finance and management Career achievements include: • Money Management - Financial Planner of the Year Award 1995 • Godfrey Pembroke’s Consultant of the Year 1996 • Requested to give evidence before the NSW Govt Public Bodies Review Committee enquiry into the Office of Protective Commissioner & Public Guardian Continuing service to his first retirement clients - spanning over 33 years (an Australian record for a financial planning relationship beginning at the time of retirement)He has spoken widely in seminars and has been quoted in the media - including appearances on television (“Sunday”, “60 Minutes”), radio (in Hong Kong), the print media (e.g. Sydney Morning Herald) online media (e.g. City Rates Extra) and Kaplan Continuing Professional Development videos. He has also- Designed and conducted (for more than eight years) an evening college program on Investment & Financial Planning - Assisted in setting, reviewing and marking exam papers for the University of Western Sydney’s undergraduate course - Held a board position on the Financial Planning Association’s Professional Ethics Committee - Acted on behalf of the FPA in the area of consumer claims hearings - Provided expert testimony for financial advice litigation casesGreg is married with four adult children, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. His leisure interests include triathlons (for which he represented Australia at the World Age Group Championships in London in 2013 and Gold Coast 2018 and again in Wollongong in 2025), early education (former Private School Council member) home renovation (finalist in “Home Beautiful” Renovation of the Year competition 2012) and is the nominated President / steering committee member of a prize winning conservation group 'The Friends of Bongin Bongin Bay Inc".
