In the past 15 years I’ve grown with Chevron in terms of personal development as well as career development. I strive to obtain more knowledge each and every day. This is why I love my current role as an OE/HES specialist. The OE/HES specialist helps to ensure the safety of all personnel by verifying and validating all safeguards remain in place and are utilized during all high risk work activities. I continue to spread my knowledge to everyone around me at every given moment. It’s rewarding to feel a sense of accomplishment and completion at the end of the day. My personal development is also important to me. Being a member of a group with co-workers assigned to Latin American locations and having regular communications with them I’ve enrolled in a Rosetta Stone for Spanish course. My career goals are to remain in a job which requires minimal travel but also affords me the opportunity to share information and increase everyone’s proficiency around me (Knowledge is Power). My background is from a retired military perspective and I’m very quick to adapt to my new environments.
